Its purpose is simple: to find all the presentations on your computer and display them as an index, and/or to search though all your presentations and find the ones that contain the text you are looking for. Have you ever found yourself saying "Which presentation was it that contained the sales figures for 2004? I know it's somewhere amongst my thousands of old presentations!"
You can search your complete
computer or just a selected
folder. The tool will
search for the text you are looking for in a presentation's main text, diagrams, tables, slide speaker
notes, comments, metadata and document properties. Once the search is complete, it will display a list of the presentations found which contain the text you are searching for. When an item within the found list is selected, it displays in the status field the sentence that contains the text you searched for.
The Index function within the tool allows you to select anything from your complete computer or just a single folder, it then finds any PowerPoint file (.ppt, .pot, .pps) and displays them as a list, which can be sorted by name, size, date. This gives you a useful overview of all the presentation files on your computer. From this, you can open any of them with a single click. The window can be expanded to show the complete file details.
This software has been professionally developed by the same programmers who created the presentation and communication software used by some of the world's leading companies. Working with companies ranging in size from 1000 to 150,000 employees spread across the globe, we have developed rigorously tested, secure and user friendly software solutions. This makes our software the ideal choice for both individuals and corporations.
In addition, our software has been digitally signed (with a third party commercial signature) to ensure that it is Spyware and virus-free, and can also be used with the Microsoft Office security setting set at maximum.
This tool is compatible with Windows running PowerPoint: 97, 2000, XP and 2003.
The tool has been created as a single standalone PowerPoint Add-in (.ppa). Once this has been loaded into PowerPoint, it displays the Find toolbar and will work when the icon on the toolbar is clicked by the user. There are no other files or settings required for the installation.
The Add-in has been digitally signed with a commercial signature provided by a independent Microsoft authorised company (www.VeriSign.com). This allows the Add-in to be loaded or used with the Microsoft Office Macro Security setting set to the recommended High or Highest.
